I love Andre 3000's version just as equal. Also big S/O to Bey's baby sis Solange appearing in American apparel & rockin' her 'Poetic Justice' braids! Kudos Beyonce! I am a J. Cole fan & after his latest video he's officially one of my favorite rappers!! This song, this video (Lost Ones) is AMAZING!! I personally feel as if music should deliver a message but this song and video caught me completely off-guard. In 2011 most songs (especially rap/hip-hop) are about what a rapper has, what he does, nothing at all or ya know full of 'STUNTN'. Not many artists talk about the dilemmas in life that normal people face everyday. J. Cole I salute you!! It takes courage & understanding to deliver a message like this. The video is very vivid and gets the point across. I am impressed! I can only imagine how any 'lost ones' will be found after this. Good job & thanks J. Cole!! :)

It's Tattoo Tuesday! Robert De Niro Edition!

Okay, so, Muchacha Sucio saw Robert De Niro at Barnes & Noble on 3rd & 54th Street looking at Nooks, and it blew her mind. She tried to get next to him, but some idiot sales guy cock-blocked her from De Niro. RUDE!

So, in spirit of what could have been, I have these really awesome tattoos of Robert De Niro on other people's bodies. They're his biggest fans obviously.

Rihanna's much anticipated We Found Love video was released a couple days ago and...I really love this song and this video. Calvin Harris produced it, whom I love to death, and he makes a cameo in the mosh pit mud party. (I want to go to one of those.) The video is just stunning. A story about hardcore love between two hardcore people. How romantic! Not to mention, the love interest is HOT! And, NO! I DON'T think he looks like Chris Brown. How rude! This guy is way, way hotter.

Hate on her all you want, Rihanna has struck genius with this one.

TWF: Steve Madden's SHAZZAM!

Yum.

Disco Fever, right? I know, but I love this shoe by Steve Madden. Yes, it's very 70's (which is all the rage right now). I could see myself doing The Hustle in these joints. Not to mention, this shoe has a dope ass name, Shazzam! I mean, why wouldn't you buy a shoe with a name like that? 

Besides the black suede at the top, these two styles made me melt, especially the tribal print. Mind blown.

So, I decided to show one of my own for this week's installment.

Now, if you guessed that this is a tattoo of Picasso's Head drawing, congratulations! No, you didn't win a million dollars, but at least we all know how artistically cultured you are. 

Anyway, here's the real thing...

Head by Picasso

So, Picasso is my most favorite artist of all time. He was so larger than life and versatile. He was above the movements and the genres. He is his own movement, his own genre. His paintings and ceramic sculptures move me to tears, but what I'm fascinated by the most are his serigraph drawings. They are so simple yet so complex. Some drawings are made from a single continuous line which blows my mind, but I mean, it's freaking Picasso! 

He once said, "It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child."  

God love him.

I'm not 100% on who the woman is in this drawing that is now permanently branded into my arm, but she's quite beautiful as a Picasso. I want to believe that she was one of his great loves, Francoise Gilot, mother of Paloma (the fashionista jewelry designer, love her). It was made around their time together. 

Anyway, I'm sure there will be more Picasso tattoos to come. If you have any tattoos by your favorite artist, and they're good, we want to see them. You could be featured. Excitement!

Minnette On The Subway

So, I'm in New York right (internship!). Me, Muchacha Sucio, and her man-friend. She tells me the story of Little Minnette. Apparently, while she waits for the J train at the Sutphin station, there's a mouse that she sings to and it comes out from it's mouse hole in the tracks (eww) and tries to get on the platform. She named her Minnette. At first, I thought she was losing her sh*t, but I saw it with my own eyes. The mouse came out when she sang. I laughed so hard because I was so freaked out by the fact that this mouse knew her voice and came out to see her. I loved it! I felt like I was in a Disney movie, and I was waiting for Minnette to start singing about living an awesome life in the subway sewage. 

So what's the point of this story? It inspired this mouse themed fashion compilation. Check it out.

Thus, I bring you Man Glaze. They invented matte polish. Forget what that chick at Sephora told you. She knows nothing. However, I do like Sephora. However, they don't sell Man Glaze...what the hell, Sephora?! Anyway, Man Glaze was born in the UK back in 2007, and I just recently re-found them.
Check this bottle out. Have you seen anything so legit?! I highly doubt it.
