Things We Fancy: FALL!

Fall's almost here, dude.

I know that in the South there is no such thing as Fall. There is just heat, hurricane season (which lasts like half the year), and in winter, an occasional cool breeze.
However, I grew up in Delaware, so I remember Fall in great detail. Fall is the best season. I mean, seriously, I could go on forever about all the stellar things that happen in the Fall like state fairs (Greater Gulf State Fair, for us); the start of boyfriend season (got to have a boo in time for Christmas); and season premieres on all the best shows. My two favorites are Gossip Girl and Bones. I'm such a well-rounded individual.

Yet, the most important thing about Fall is...Fashion. For one, the alliteration is advertising gold, and two, Fall is when the most important week in fashion takes place. Hello, Fashion Week.

Fall is a versatile season. It's not too cold, it's not hot either. It's the perfect season to try new things. I'm thinking about playing with bright colors and patterns this season, which is subject to change. Ooh, I almost forgot...BOOTS! Start buying them now because come September everyone will be trying to work the same boot. At least, you can say you did it first. 

So go forth and shop for Fall and dust off your "skills" for boyfriend season.

Things We Fancy: Nicki Minaj in Ice Age 4!!

Vibe magazine has released an online article (click here to view) stating that Young Money's queen B Nicki Minaj, along with Drake, Queen Latifah and many others, has been added to the cast of Ice Age 4: Continental Drift. I absolutely looooove Nicki Minaj and Ice Age 1, 2, and 3 so i'm definitely anticipating the 4th one. Ice Age 4 is said to be in theaters July 2012.

Adventures in TJ Maxx!

Ok so, I didn't want to wait in a doctor's office (siblings getting check ups for school), so I left and went to TJ Maxx. If you live in Mobile, I'm talking about the good one next to Fresh Market (Fresh Market is righteous by the way).

Anyway, I bought these.

They're from some label called Pelle Moda. They're hunter green suede. They look gray here, but I know my colors. These shoes are hunter green. The color is not what's important. THEY WERE ONLY $30!!! Yes, I'm serious, and they were not on sale.

It's me in them. You can see the tag. Lol!

They are way taller than they look. I think I'm going to wear them out tomorrow night. Yeah, I'm so going to do that.

Things We Fancy: Flava! "Slap Ya Mama" Cajun Seasoning

Yes, it's that d* good!! "Slap Ya Mama" is the perfect cajun seasoning. Add it to seafood, meats, vegetables, even popcorn. I just bought a can about 2 weeks ago and it has been used in at least one dish per day. You may wanna pick up 2 cans, trust. I mean Christ! Why would they do this to me???

This is sickening.

This shoe is the hottest thing I've seen to date for FALL. I saw them on net-a-porter.com. I WANT THEM! I would physically harm (not kill) someone for this boot. It goes with everything, which is my favorite quality. I am so beside myself over this shoe.

But sadly, I'm poor. However, that only means I need to find a wallet savvy version of this boot.
If anyone spots a knock-off let me know.
